Croatia had been discovered by campers at the very beginning of camping culture in Europe.

Even during the time when visiting the Adriatic was a real adventure, when it took 24 hours to reach the first Island from West Europe bringing a caravan, campers used to travel to Croatia in an ever-growing number from year to year.
