Continental Montenegro is the southernmost part of Dinaric's karst area, located between Trebišnjica, Montenegro's coast, Skadarskog lakes and mountains Golije, soldiers, and Lukavica Manganika. In Montenegro, there are two most famous Montenegrin plains Zetske and Bjelopavlička, which make the transition between the coastal and karst areas. This region is the industrial zone of Montenegro. Cities in central region of Montenegro are Podgorica, Niksic, Cetinje, Danilovgrad. |

Extraordinary geographical position of Podgorica sited only a few kilometers from winter ski centers in the north and Mediterranean in the south has always made the city attractive for settlement, and for that reason the oldest settlements were formed on this area.
Kolsin is city founded by Turks in 17th century. It lays in the middle of Montenegro between beautiful mountains at 954 m of altitude. Sinjajevina, Bjelasica, Kljuc and Vucje embraced this little city. The district has about 12000 inhabitants.
