When taking over the keys to the rented vessel, it is necessary to leave certain financial means to the manager of the base, i.e., deposit, so that it could cover the eventual damages of the vessel or the equipment originated during your renting period. We want to mention that the agency can charge you only for a sum that equals the deposit sum, no matter the damage fees. The rest of the sum is covered by the insurance company.
The deposit can be theoretically paid in different ways: cash, credit cards, traveler's and euro checks, or bank assignments. The charter agency usually offers only some of the presented possibilities. Very often, the way of the deposit payment you prefer would be one of the factors that will influence your choice of selecting the charter agency as your partner for this summer.
Of course, you can pay the deposit only in case that the condition of the vessel and its equipment fully corresponds to the internet presentation, or to what the manager of the base has shown you. If the vessel is returned without any additional damages or loss of equipment, the renter will be fully refunded at the time of checking-out.
